Lyndit ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use the Lyndit platform — including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").
By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
This policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service, which governs your use of the Platform.
We collect information you provide directly to us, information generated by your use of the Platform, and information from third-party services.
Information you provide
Information collected automatically
When you provide your mobile phone number and opt in via the checkbox during onboarding, you consent to receive transactional SMS text messages from Lyndit related to your account activity. These messages include booking confirmations, pickup and return reminders, payment confirmations, message notifications from other users, and account security alerts.
Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier and plan. You may reply HELP at any time for assistance, or STOP to unsubscribe from all non-essential SMS messages.
Lyndit does not share or sell your phone number, SMS opt-in status, or SMS-related data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your phone number is shared only with confirmed booking counterparties as needed to facilitate the rental transaction, and with our SMS service provider (Twilio) solely for the purpose of delivering the messages you have consented to receive.
You can revoke your SMS consent at any time by replying STOP to any message, by updating your notification preferences in your account settings, or by contacting support@lynditapp.com.

We take the security of your personal information seriously. The Platform is built on Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to the database is controlled by row-level security policies, ensuring users can only access data they are authorised to see.
Payment card data is handled exclusively by Stripe, a PCI DSS-compliant payment processor. Identity documents are processed exclusively by Stripe Identity — we never receive, store, or transmit your government-issued ID.
While we implement commercially reasonable safeguards, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security and encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

Lyndit is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@lynditapp.com and we will delete that information promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through an in-platform notification.
Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
