Welcome to Lyndit. By accessing or using the Lyndit platform — including our website, mobile applications, and any related services (collectively, the "Platform") — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or use the Platform. By using Lyndit, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Lyndit reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Lyndit is a peer-to-peer rental marketplace that connects individuals ("Owners") who wish to rent out personal property with individuals ("Renters") who wish to borrow it. Lyndit provides the technology platform and payment infrastructure to facilitate these transactions.
Lyndit is not a party to any rental agreement between Owners and Renters. Lyndit does not own, inspect, verify, or guarantee any item listed on the Platform. The rental relationship is solely between the Owner and the Renter.
While Lyndit takes reasonable steps to promote trust and safety — including ID verification, AI listing review, and dispute resolution — Lyndit cannot guarantee the accuracy of any listing, the condition of any item, or the conduct of any user.
To list items or make bookings, you must create an account and complete identity verification through Stripe Identity. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your information up to date.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@lynditapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
The following are prohibited: creating accounts with false information, operating multiple accounts, creating accounts after being suspended, or allowing others to use your account to circumvent platform rules.
Owners are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of their listings. By creating a listing, you represent that you own the item or have the right to rent it, and that all information — including photos, description, price, and condition — is truthful and accurate.
Prohibited items include but are not limited to: firearms, ammunition, and weapons of any kind; illegal drugs or paraphernalia; hazardous materials; items subject to export restrictions; stolen property; adult content; and any item whose rental would violate applicable law.
All listings are subject to review by Lyndit's automated AI system and, where necessary, by our human trust and safety team. Lyndit may remove any listing at its discretion. Listings that are approved may still be removed if subsequent information suggests they violate these Terms.
All payments on Lyndit are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. By making or accepting a booking, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. Lyndit does not store your payment card details.
Platform fee: Lyndit charges renters an 18% service fee on each transaction. Owners receive 100% of their listed rental rate.
Security deposits are collected at booking and held by Lyndit. They are released to the Owner within 48 hours of the rental return date if no damage claim is filed, or applied to a damage claim if one is opened. Any remainder is returned to the Renter.

You may cancel a confirmed booking at any time before the start of your rental period (pickup time).
Refund schedule:
If you cancel a booking that has not yet been confirmed by the owner, you receive a full refund regardless of timing.
Once an item has been picked up, the booking can no longer be cancelled. If you have a problem with the item, please file a dispute through your dashboard.
Owners may cancel a confirmed booking at any time before pickup. In all owner-initiated cancellations:
Late cancellation fee: If an owner cancels within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time, the owner is responsible for the Stripe payment processing fee (approximately 2.9% + $0.30 of the original transaction). This fee is deducted from the owner's next payout.
To maintain a reliable marketplace, Lyndit tracks owner cancellation rates over a rolling 90-day window. After accumulating at least 10 bookings:
We believe in transparency. If your account is approaching one of these thresholds, you will receive clear communication about why and what you can do.
Refunds are issued to your original payment method through Stripe. Processing typically takes 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. Lyndit does not control this timing.
For partial refunds (50% scenarios), Lyndit absorbs the Stripe payment processing fee on the original charge so that both renters and owners receive their full proportional shares.
For all cancellations before pickup, the renter's security deposit hold is released. No deposit charge is made on cancelled bookings.
If you disagree with a cancellation decision or refund amount, you may file a support request at support@lynditapp.com. Lyndit reserves the right to override automated refund calculations in exceptional circumstances (medical emergencies, natural disasters, verified fraud, etc.).
We may update this cancellation policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated to active users at least 14 days before taking effect. The policy in effect at the time of your booking applies to that booking.
Either party may open a dispute within 48 hours of the rental return date. Disputes submitted after this window will not be eligible for security deposit claims.
When a dispute is filed, the security deposit is placed on hold pending resolution. Lyndit's trust and safety team will review evidence submitted by both parties — including photos, messages, and booking history — and make a determination within 5 business days. This determination is final.
Lyndit's liability in any dispute is limited to the security deposit amount held for that booking. Lyndit is not responsible for losses exceeding the deposit, lost income, or consequential damages of any kind.
Lyndit requires all users to verify their identity before listing items or making bookings. Verification is performed by Stripe Identity, a third-party service. Lyndit does not receive or store your government-issued ID documents — they are processed exclusively by Stripe.
Identity verification helps protect all users from fraud and builds trust across the marketplace. A verified badge on a profile indicates that Lyndit has confirmed the user's identity at the time of verification.
If verification fails, you will not be able to list items or make bookings until the issue is resolved. Contact support@lynditapp.com for assistance.
You may not use the Lyndit Platform to:
Lyndit uses artificial intelligence to assist with listing descriptions, pricing suggestions, damage detection, listing approval reviews, and search. These features are designed to improve the rental experience but operate with inherent limitations.
Important
Lyndit is not liable for any decisions made based on AI-generated content, suggestions, scores, or recommendations. Lyndit is not responsible for any losses, damages, or disputes arising from AI feature outputs. By using Lyndit you acknowledge that AI features are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lyndit and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.
Lyndit's total liability for any claim related to a specific booking shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in connection with that booking.
Lyndit is not responsible for item damage, theft, loss, or injury resulting from a rental. Lyndit does not guarantee the availability of any item, the accuracy of any listing, or the conduct of any user. Force majeure events — including natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, or service outages beyond our control — excuse Lyndit from performance obligations.
Lyndit may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that Lyndit believes violates these Terms, harms other users, or is otherwise harmful to the Platform or Lyndit's business interests.
You may close your account at any time by contacting support@lynditapp.com. Closing your account does not affect any obligations arising from transactions completed prior to closure, including pending payouts, outstanding deposits, or open disputes.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in via the checkbox at the time of account creation, you expressly consent to receive transactional SMS text messages from Lyndit at the number provided. These messages relate solely to your account activity on the Lyndit platform, including but not limited to booking confirmations, pickup and return reminders, payment confirmations, messages from other users, and account security alerts.
Lyndit does not send marketing or promotional SMS messages. Message frequency depends on your activity on the platform. Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
To stop receiving SMS messages, reply STOP to any message. For assistance, reply HELP. You may also disable SMS notifications at any time from your account settings. Opting out of SMS does not affect your account standing or your ability to use the Lyndit platform; however, you will continue to receive essential account communications via email.
